The Member Relations and Outreach Committee met to review strategic priorities and discuss new tools to strengthen member engagement. After approving the previous meeting’s minutes, the group focused on several initiatives tied to communications, community building, and workforce development.

Marketing analytics for 2025 were presented, highlighting strong engagement across social media, top-performing website pages, and widely opened email communications. The committee expressed support for the development of a “social media toolkit” to make it easier for members to share and amplify NAB content.

A demonstration of the new Whova app showcased key features designed to improve event experiences and networking opportunities. Feedback on the platform was overwhelmingly positive, with members noting its ease of use and strong potential for increased member interaction.

The committee also previewed NAB’s new online community platform, which features an updated design and enhanced functionality. It is set to launch in the coming weeks and will initially be open to select member groups.

A case study on the challenges facing individuals seeking Administrator Residency opportunities sparked a thoughtful discussion on workforce entry barriers and succession planning. The group explored ideas for new resources and support that could help bridge the gap between education and employment.

The meeting closed with a brainstorming session for future topics on the “Leading the Way” podcast series, including workforce burnout, generational shifts, technical competencies, conflict resolution, and exam readiness.
