The NAB Board of Governors gathered in Seattle on June 13, 2025, for a fast-paced morning session that covered a lot of ground. Chair Jennifer Johs-Artisensi kicked things off, and updates rolled in from across the organization. Committees shared progress on everything from continuing education and academic accreditation to outreach efforts like the “Leading the Way” series, which will be expanding to podcast platforms. The Credentialing Commission reported that 30 states now accept the Health Services Executive (HSE) credential, with a goal of reaching 40 by year’s end. Meanwhile, the Foundation approved one of three grant proposals and is working on improving its grant process. Three Foundation trustee positions will open this fall—interested members are encouraged to reach out.
Other highlights included the approval of two new CE providers, updates to the Academic Accreditation workbook and self-assessment form, and a decision to extend the exam eligibility window from 60 to 90 days. The meeting also welcomed new members to the Nominating Committee and celebrated the energy from the week’s NCERS training and Innovate sessions. All in all, it was a productive and forward-looking session that kept the momentum going strong.
